If you would ask us to imagine the perfect morning, it would look a lot like sipping coffee, wearing pretty dresses and basking in the Florida sunshine. (By “pretty dresses” we mean Lilly Pulitzer, and by “Florida sunshine” we mean lounging by the pool at Carlouel Yacht Club.)
Last week FLocal Magazine teamed up with The Pink Palm Tampa boutique, and some of our favorite FLocal Locals, to host the brightly-colored photoshoot of our dreams!
The shoot was on location at Clearwater’s historic Carlouel Beach and Yacht Club. Located south of Caladesi Island State Park, Carlouel’s private boardwalk, beautiful beach front and charming poolside cabanas made it the perfect backdrop for showcasing Lilly’s colorful chic resort wear.
The Pink Palm Tampa, owned by the wonderful Sarah Kat Ennis, has been the one stop shop for all things Lilly Pulizter since 2001. Ennis took over the role as owner in 2016. Growing up in a Lilly-loving household, Ennis was introduced to the classic colorful prints as a young girl. “It’s a really neat story.” Ennis shares with us, “My grandmother dressed my mom in Lilly, who then dressed my sister and I from the time we were babies. My family has been shopping at the Pink Palm since the store opened and now I am the owner! It was always a dream job of mine to own a women’s clothing store. It definitely has been an amazing experience and the perfect fit. Who would have thought that three generations of wearing Lilly would lead to owning a store full of it!” A HUGE thank you to Sarah Kat for providing us with GORGEOUS pieces. Visit The Pink Palm’s website at www.pinkpalmtampa.com or stop by the boutique, located at 1532 South Dale Mabry Highway, to see the full collection!
Tampa makeup artist Liana Nicole Cruz was on site, creating magic on our models! When asked about the camera-ready look of the day, Liana told us she went for a, “bronzed subdued eye with lashes and a bold lip – to create contrast to the beautiful colors of Lilly Pulitzer.” You can find Liana on Instagram @liananicolecruz and on her website www.liananicole.com.
Michelle Bremer, style expert and founder of Runway Translator, was on location styling the beautiful team of models: Ms. Florida 2018, Haviland Macy Kebler, wore the Jane Shift in Seaspray Gray Lace and the Mila Shift in Raz Berry. Local Florida girl, Madison Thompson, wore the Atlin Silk Caftan dress in Seaglass Menagerie Engineered and the Blue/Gold Jane Shift. FLocal Team Member and Miss Belleair USA, Alivia McDaniel, wore the Juna Maxi Dress, the Willa Top in Gumbo Limbo with Hot Pink Buttercup shorts, and the Shelli Shift in Salt in the Air print. Pink Palm owner, Sarah Kat Ennis, wore the Mila Shift in “Leied Back” print and the Off Shoulder Nevie Dress in “Toe In.” FLocal Magazine President and Founder, Britt Blume, wore the Jane Maxi Dress in the print “Toe In.”
